The Mont Tremblant Region
The name, "Mont-Tremblant", refers to the mountain where the famous Tremblant ski resort is now located. The resort has been rated number one in the American northeast by Ski Magazine. Hotels, condos, cottages and luxury estates border the ski slopes and lakefront, and the resort offers a wealth of activities for families and singles alike, ranging from downhill and cross-country skiing to golf and tennis.
The Laurentian region is one of the most culturally active in Quebec and both art galleries and exhibitions are numerous. No less than six annual musical events take place in Mont-Tremblant alone, including the famous "Fête de la musique", which hosts the biggest names in classical, jazz and world music. All these concerts make Tremblant the rallying point for all fans of culture.
The reputation of Laurentian gastronomy and Mont-Tremblant’s international restaurants is widely recognized in all of Quebec and Canada, just like its night life and « après-ski », not to mention its spas, movie theatres and swimming pools.
The Mont-Tremblant village, also called " the old village", is situated on the shores of the Mercier Lake, barely ten kilometers from the slopes of Tremblant, along the autoroute 117. Its rustic charm offers the perfect setting for magnificent luxury estates, cottages, cozy inns, shops, restaurants and antique stores. Throughout the village there is a bike path that doubles as a cross-country trail in the winter. One can also find all cultural and practical commodities such as banks, law practices, and clinics. The area is charming in all seasons, and is only a few minutes away from nine golf courses, three ski resorts (Tremblant, Mont Blanc, Grey Rocks) and from many lakes open to swimming and sailing, and so clean that their water is drinkable!
Gourmet groceries, bakeries, farmers markets and luxury boutiques attest to Quebec's French heritage.
In Mont-Tremblant, sports, nature and culture combine to provide enough fun to satisfy even the most active among us!
