Residential properties

Do you want to make Mont-Tremblant your home?

You probably already have an idea of what it is that you are looking for. But, whether you are looking for a summer cottage or a family home, you are assured to find a wealth of properties to choose from in the Mont Trembalnt area. Every possible type of property is available in the Laurentians, from ski-in condos to luxury estates and lakefront cottages or land on which to build your dreamhouse. To make things even more excitng, the Mont-Tremblant region offers a unique architectural heritage of a remarkable variety.

Mont-Tremblant has attracted famous visitors, tourists and nature lovers since the end of the nineteenth century,  many of which, even then, decided to build or buy property in the area.  The new residents hailing from Montreal, Quebec, wider Canada  and the United States had a fundamental influence on the architectural landscape of the whole Laurentian region. Some built luxury estates around lac Mercier featuring magnificent stables, art deco swimming pools and even botanical gardens. Others renovated and copied the charm of local colonial homes as well as traditional Quebec cottages, thus contributing to the conservation of Mont Tremblant’s unique character.

At the turn of the twentieth century, the newly built Montreal-Mont Tremblant railroad allowed many more visitors to access Mont Tremblant. Real estate started to flourish in the area. Cross-country skiing – or Nordic skiing as it was then called - became popular and trails were created between villages. Many inns, hotels and restaurants opened to accomodate the newcomers, attracting even more American and European visitors to Mont Tremblant who, in turn, imprinted their personal touch on the local architecture of the Laurentians.

In the thirties, the Ryans, a wealthy Philadelphia couple, became so enamoured with the area that they decided to create an alpine ski resort on the slopes of Mont Tremblant.

From that moment on, the traditional Quebec landscape of small farms and windmills was forever changed. The resorts have continued to grow since then, giving Mont-Tremblant the wealth of recreational facilities that it offers today.

Mont Tremblant’s architectural heritage is still present in modern properties that run the gamut from country cottages to luxurious estates, neocolonial cottages, bungalows, alpine chalets and condominiums.

At Royal Lepage Tremblant, our real estate agents are proud of the local history and eager to discuss the latest real estate news with you. They are looking forward to assist you in finding a home in Mont Tremblant and they will accompany you throughout the whole process of buying your dream property.
